The title track here is a soulful rave-up spinning on an indelible vocal chop and vamping pianos. “Chevy Status” is true to its name, a chugging mid-tempo hip-hop/house tune perfect for rolling down Woodward Avenue, or if you like, a street in your town. “Pluck Away,” meanwhile, takes some jangling, Tropicalia guitars and lets them ride into the sunset, closing out a near perfect record which only builds anticipation for the Detroit man’s fourth full-length, Andres IV.
