Sublee is a young and fledgling producer who also goes under the names of Marsomatic700 and Stedi, two aliases which have already appeared on the Nil label, an outlet centred on intricate minimal beats and wayward house grooves. Sublee’s “Just Speak” is a driving little thumper with plenty of percussion weaving and bleeped-out melodies, whereas “Test 3.0 (ZZZDUBZZZ)” is glitchy, itchy and even more lo-fi in texture. The remainder of the flipside sees “Ritma vs Doi” struggle to contain its growing pulse and energy with a stumbling groove and airy shards of melody.
