Terre Thaemlitz has had so many aliases over the years it’s hard to keep with them. But there’s one thing that’s consistent with all her releases; they’re all quality! Usually making deep house under the names DJ Sprinkles or K.S.H.E. this is the only release so far that Thaemlitz has made under the Teriko moniker, released in 2003 on German label INEX. “Fake (Parodyse Mix)” nails that classic early ’90s house sound out of N.Y. spot on. After all, it does sample the 1992 underground classic “The Moodie Trak” by Midi-Matrix. On the flip “Fake (B Power Mix) is a booming, shuffling in your face mix with some breakbeats thrown in for more of a U.K flavour. Tip!
