Paris label Dockside Records don’t put out a great deal of music every year, but when they do get their act together it’s usually a rather special affair. With previous releases by the likes of Norm Talley and Rick Wade, it’s clear that the imprint has decided upon retaining a heavily US sort of sound on the house and techno that they release. Not surprisingly, Detroit’s K Hand pops up for their latest 12″ and his “Do It Again” tune is a sublime slice of Michigan sample house…wonderfully deep bass tones, disco strings and those ringing vocal samples. For fans of KDJ, Andres and all the rest of the throng.
