NGLY’s LIES White Label debut Service Cost HH2 gets a much needed repress with full label artwork following Intergalactic FM choosing the immense “Speechless Tape” as their no 1 track of 2014. The Berlin based Argentinean debuted on LIES with this record following his emergence on the affiliated Russian Torrent Versions and it became a cult classic amongst fans of dank basement techno. Lead track “Service Cost HH2” offes a muddy jack track featuring an uncommonly melodic touch, but “Some Relationships” sees NGLY veer off into submerged experimental hip hop territory. On the flip, “Speechless Tape” is a dark 303-led track whose copious reverb and spoken word vocal sample puts it somewhere between classic synthwave and acid, while “I Don’t Have A Soul” harks back to classic Chi house sounds, albeit glimpsed through that gauzy L.I.E.S. filter.
