Tabernacle’s offshoot Ride The Gyroscope returns following an opening two-release salvo from mystery entity The Boneless One and this time round it’s the turn of UK electro don EDMX. Here he throws down some rusted and dusty techno with a firm nod to Detroit on Gyroride004 on which follows up the label’s last release as well! On the first side there’s the cyclical and mechanical bump and grind of ‘Infinite Temperature’ which is reminiscent of classic Orlando Voorn while the pumping and jacking acid storm ‘Infinite Temperature’ will take you all the way back to the Packard Plant circa ’93. On the flip we’ve got some spectacular dancefloor drama from the darkside on this flattering tribute to the Motor City’s second wave with ‘Vampire Bats Attack’ and its rapid fire 909 attack and whoop melody but he really saves the best for last on ‘The Judge’.
